Raven supported the development of a robotic decontamination system for the Department of Energy (DOE). The Remote Operated Size Reduction System (ROSRS) was a large robotic workcell that used a  plasma torch on a gantry-mounted telescoping manipulator as well as abrasive cutters on a dexterous manipulator to dismantle and package radioactively contaminated equipment. Contamination control was accomplished by a negative pressure containment structure with personnel and equipment airlocks.  The system included  6,000 to 12,000 CFM HEPA filtration / ventilation system with automatic redundancy and an automatic fire detection & suppression system.
